Day 1 |
Pass through Mt Molloy, Palmer River, Lakeland Downs and
over the Great Dividing Range into ‘Quinkan country’ to
view the Aboriginal paintings at Split Rock. Overnight –
Hann River. |

Day 2 |
Leaving Hann River we travel through cattle country on
our way to Musgrave Telegraph Station, Coen and
overnight at Archer River.. |
|
Day 3 |
Visit
the bauxite mining town of Weipa. Enjoy the sunset over
the sea. |
|
Day 4 |
Informative Weipa town and mine tour. Head through
Batavia Downs Station for an overnight camp at Bramwell
Station. |
|
Day 5 |
4WD
action travelling the Telegraph Track. Trough a
landscape of giant termite mounds, prehistoric cycads
and pristine river systems we head for the magical Twin
Falls. |

Day 6 |
We head
for the Jardine River and the cable ferry, then onto the
beach at Seisia. |
|
Day 7 |
Visit
the “TIP” of Australia, experience the delightful
scenery of Frangipani Bay, do a rainforest walk and
visit the home of the Jardine’s empire, Somerset on
Albany passage. |

Day 8 |
Catch a
ferry to visit Thursday and Horn Islands for the Two
island tour and smorgasboard lunch. Complete the
day with a scenic flight over the picturesque water,
islands and The Tip of Cape York. |

Day 9 |
Say
goodbye to the most Northern part of Australia and start
heading south. Camp by one of the many pristine river
systems. |
|
Day 10 |
Visit Fruit Bat Falls, the infamous “Gunshot”, Kennedy
memorial and onto Moreton Telegraph Station on the
Wenlock River. |
|
Day 11 |
An
historic route, crossing the Wenlock and Archer rivers,
gold town of Coen and overnight at Musgrave Telegraph
Station. |
|
Day 12 |
Head
into Lakefield National Park to explore waterlily
covered lakes and billabongs. Visit Old Laura homestead
and travel the Battlecamp Rd, once used by the Palmer
river goldrush diggers, to historic Cooktown.

Day 13 |
Walk in
Captain Cooks footsteps as we spend the day exploring
and learning about this historic goldrush port. |
|
Day 14 |
Spend
the morning with Nugal Warra Elder Willie Gordon who
provides a fascinating introduction into Aboriginal rock
art, culture and spirituality. We complete our
adventure with some barramundi fishing and a farewell
dinner. |
